Week 2 recap:
Phew, what a wild week…

Starting the week off strong, we had some culture training experiences. Our leaders dressed up and acted out a market place where there were thieves, merchants, and tourists. There was even one driving and honking a van consistently through the crowd. Our task was to purchase food for our team without any mishaps; like getting kidnapped into the moving van. Haha….

The next event in this week was the evangelism training… Oh boy did this stir up the crowd. Our guest speakers presented some challenging content that many, including myself, did not agree with. It is inspiring how the Lord still works in disagreement and challenges. There were Baptisms after their teaching and many declared their love and lives to the Lord. We ended the week off right by winning the Squad wars! There is a total of 5 squads at training camp and K Squad landed on top! Due to a personalized dance and hard-core relay racers, we won the prize of boasting rights and the feeling of accomplishment!

Week 3 Recap:
This week was filled with opportunities to expand our knowledge. My eyes were opened to the activity of spiritual warfare, not only in the ways it operates but how it interacts with our lives and how we can be aware of its influence. We also dove into the depths of vulnerability and boundaries within relationships. We are committing to nine months with each other and are acquiring the proper tools to foster heathy relationships. On Wednesday we escaped from the base camp to explore the Lord’s beautiful creation! We backpacked up Mt. Yonah and camped at the cliffs. We were blessed with an incredible sunset and time to connect with one another. An important and practical teaching of this week was how to pray. The three types of prayer taught were relational, worship and warfare. We, as a body of Christ, spent 40 minutes in prayer. Experiencing each aspect that was taught. Last but not least, we had a revival night which was a night of worship and praise!

The Lord has been present and visible these last few weeks. I am so blessed to be a part of this newly found family and adventure. I am eager to serve the Lord and grow a deeper understanding of Him.
