Ok! Here we go...
First week of training camp completed. Started with some overwhelming introductions that are slowly growing into godly friendships. The village of tents will be our home town for the next 3 weeks. Lots of rainstorms and little collateral damage. Also, bucket showers and laundry have been a craving for most of us. Yes, it is cold and yes it takes a while, but we all come out the other side a little cleaner and a little fresher. Not only have we been working in building the teams relationship but have been growing ours with the Lord. The Lord is at work always. Whether we see it or not, He is moving. It is our job to open our hearts and our eyes to see. From moments of peace to exalting praise, I have abided in Jesus, waiting for what he has in store. Some have already experienced miracles which is wild to think about, but I am learning to stop narrowing my view of God's ability.
I haven't fully understood the passage where God calls the broken to share his stories and kingdom. I knew that works were not needed for salvation but I struggle with thinking that you have to have works to show for, before the Lord can use you. I have always struggled with not being enough or worthy and am on a continuous journey of letting go of that expectation. The Lord revealed to me that the broken are just as worthy to share His love as anyone else. God has broking down judgments I have held over others and myself. Everyone is on their own journey, but we all get to come together under His reign. No mater where we are in our walk, the Lord will use us. I am learning how to love people fully. Just like the woman at the well. No matter how young your faith is, God can still use it in the most powerful ways!
Mathew 9:12-13
On hearing this, Jesus said, "It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick. But go and learn what this means: 'I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners."
